Dedication, ribbon-cutting and school tours planned for the Sept. 7 ceremony
The Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church will open a new preschool — Mt. Sinai Early Learning Center — at a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 1 p.m., at 3717 W. 54th St., in Los Angeles.
According to Pastor George E. Hurtt, the public is invited to participate in the celebration and tour the new school.
“The toddler center provides a diverse educational experience and attentive childcare. Children, ages two through five, enjoy a rigorous and age-appropriate curriculum, patterning child growth and development practices,” said Hurtt.
“The curriculum includes sharing and conversation time, reading, singing, creative art activities, crafts, Spanish language lessons, outdoor play and exploration, yoga, and dance,” he added.
“We are committed to providing a quality child development program where the children feel safe and loved. We promote a program to meet the needs of the total child — socially, emotionally, intellectually, physically and spiritually. We want these first experiences with others to be successful beginnings to the many years of formal education ahead,” commented Erika M. Williams, director.
“We are blessed and privileged to prepare for the demands of formal education and help shape the lives of every little angel that comes through our doors,” she said.
