With the theme, Social Justice and Resistance, this year’s Black Family Conference, will focus on how families can continue to fight, yet protect themselves and thrive during these times of uncertainty, trauma and racial and economic assault. The 2017 5th Annual Black Family Conference will be held on Saturday, September 16, at the Tomorrow’s Aeronautical Museum in Compton, 961 W. Alondra Blvd from 10 a. m. to 3 p.m. The free event features numerous workshops, speakers and resources and includes lunch and books for the children.
