Did anyone other than me read the article or hear on the news a story about this group of crazy white boys getting arrested? You may not have heard anything about it because the L.A. Times sold the story in the softest way possible.

The headlines of the story read, “68 people with alleged ties to supremacist gang indicted.” More accurately it should have read like this, “68 Wild Hate Filled White Boys were arrested on charges of drug trafficking and fraud.” You can bet your ass if it had been a group of Black or Brown men there would have been no ambiguity of the culture of these criminals.

This group of fine upstanding White Boys refer to themselves and their White colleagues as “Peckerwoods” (I like the word cracker myself). These white boys the media often refers to as White supremacist, well I just see them as crackers in coveralls.

In the spirit of historical accuracy, it is not me calling these gentlemen Peckerwoods. I read an article that the Peckerwoods took their name from a derogatory term for white inmates in the California prison system, embraced Nazi iconography and traded racist comments in a private Facebook group, according to an indictment that was unsealed.

Isn’t it interesting that when America talks about her crime problem, when addressing issues of drug dealing, human trafficking, theft, bank fraud, robbery, stolen merchandise, smash-and-grab and every other heinous crime you could think of; she always seems to frame the worst of American society in Black and Brown and Jesus in White.

Is it just me or have you noticed that whenever one of these crazy white boys goes off and decides he’s not having a good day and chooses to shoot up a school and kill innocent children, why is it they (the media and law enforcement) first start looking for rationale for the shooters insanity before addressing the culture of the shooter.

But let a nonwhite innocent person of color get killed by law enforcement, it was something that he did that triggered the officer that got him killed, something like breathing. You know me, once again I digress.

Did you know that the Peckerwoods are financing their MAGA movement by selling methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl, and young white girls?  I guess you get a better return on your investment when you frighten and convince white people that it’s those people of color that’s the root of all evil and that they are the cause of their problems in this country and by extension the world, can you say Trump.

Oh, and by the way I would be derelict if I didn’t mention that most of their criminal activity is happening in the San Fernando Valley not Watts, East L.A., or Compton.  This is a movement under the auspices of imprisoned members of the Aryan Brotherhood. These same white boys (crackers) have orchestrated murders both inside and outside the California prison system.

Check this out, U.S. Atty. Martin Estrada said in a statement, “The Peckerwoods’ violent white-supremacist ideology and wide-ranging criminal activity pose a grave menace to our community by engaging in everything from drug-trafficking, firearms offenses, identity theft, COVID fraud and through their alliance with a Neo-Nazi prison gang, the Peckerwoods are a destructive force.”  Let me see if I got this right, so, we are supposed to be outraged and sounding the alarm about Black Lives Matter who are only fighting for justice for all people?

So where am I going with all of this; I’m so glad you asked. Crime is an American problem, not a Black, Brown or even White issue, it is an American issue.

First, for all my friends that think I’m talking about all white people you can relax; I’m not talking about your wife, husband, relatives, or friends.  They know better than you, if you throw a brick in a pack of dogs, the one that hollers is the one that you hit.

Drugs, violence, and crime is not Black, Brown, or White, its Red, White, and Blue and we must face that. You think I’m lying; well, here is a quote you won’t hear this January, “The greatest purveyor of violence in the world today is my own government,” stated the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

We must have the courage to call out wrongdoing no matter who is doing it.  If we want to heal America, we must first recognize she’s sick, then and only then can we work at making her GREAT for the first time.
