Some thought Jesus was John the Baptist.  Others thought He was Moses or Elijah. This same question is being asked today.

Who do you think that Jesus the Son of God is? Do you believe Jesus is the Son of God? Do you think He is a magician? I heard someone say, he thought Jesus was a magician. That showed how far away from the truth he was.

We need the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth to us and clear up the fog of doubt and unbelief. Believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. You don’t have to understand all things. The mind of Christ is far above our minds. Just believe and accept who He is by faith.

Defining and describing Jesus is difficult to answer for many. That’s why it’s important to learn about Him and accept His divine identity. Look at this. Yeshua can be described compared to the personification of wisdom in Proverbs 8:22. There it says, “The Lord possessed me in the beginning of His way, before His works of old.”

I AM was begotten before the world…born in the world. He was then Elohim taking creature form to create; as He later, took human form (flesh) to redeem. Therefore, creation and redemption combined in Christ (Revelation 4:11; 5:9.)

Man created in His likeness that in which He appeared to the patriarchs and to Joshua was not temporary, or assumed for the moment, but was permanent. He always has been and is permanently to those who believe the Great I AM Before the foundation of the world.  In John 8:25 during the dialogue between Jesus, Scribes and Pharisees, they asked “Who are you?”

He answers (here partially) that they don’t understand because they don’t believe Moses, even though Moses prophesied of His coming. “Because you didn’t believe the fathers, you don’t believe and accept that I am from above and you are from beneath. You don’t believe that; so you are in darkness. I AM He and because of that you will die in your sins.”

He identified himself with the permanent and eternal designation: “I AM, the formula of divine and eternal existence.” He also told them, “I already told you as before, I AM the light of the world; I AM the bread of life.” And other statements to enlighten others as to who His identity was, is and eternally shall be.

He held a lengthy dialogue with the woman of Samaria at Jacob’s well. This dialogue with her struck down racism and hate of differences in all cultures. Man isn’t listening and He will return to prove His point and for many, it will be too late.

She quickly caught on that He was a prophet after He spoke to her life’s story. She was enlightened as Peter was, and so many others that, “Thou art the Christ. The Son of the Living God.”

Six months after Gabriel delivered the message to Zachariah, he was sent to Mary. More than 500 years earlier, Gabriel had appeared to Daniel (8:15-17, 9:21). Nazareth was Joseph’s and Mary’s hometown. Jesus was born in Bethlehem but grew up in Nazareth.

Mary was a simple young woman engaged to Joseph. In Gabriel’s greeting Mary is called favored and promised the Lord would be with you through this trying time. God himself had called her favored. She was not sinless but went on to have other children.

Mary’s response to Gabriel’s announcement to her was that she would perform in accordance to the angelic announcement. She didn’t argue. Her poetic response was impressionable, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” (Luke 1:38.)

Gabriel departed from her. These were difficult times (I suspect) for Joseph and Mary. Joseph was puzzled and didn’t know what to do.   The Lord answered him telling him where to go with Mary for protection and what to do for safety.
