This month has been very traumatic for the city of Los Angeles with the loss our brotherErmias Asghedom (Nipsey).  This man stood for so many things to so many different walks of life, but we at TEC Leimert really appreciate the connection we felt with Nipsey on community building and technology.  Technology has created a ton of new opportunities, but with any new economy if you are not actively engaged you can miss out on creating a true stake in that economy.  As the global majority we have a high propensity be innovative while balancing the fact that we are one of the highest consumer spending groups despite current socio-economic factors.  I think a manifestation of this is the Marathon Store.  This blueprint showed both sides, supply and demand, where we drove the ideation, developed the products, created the content, and monetized.  So, then the next logical question is (how we get) access to information to start building. This is a problem TEC Leimert is trying to solve. Connecting leaders in tech and entertainment with the folks who look like them is essential to our mission to pick up the baton and continue the marathon.  Los Angeles is the entertainment capital of the world…we want South L.A. to be a global destination where bridges are built, culture is derived, and new innovations are unveiled.  This is our contribution to the marathon.
