The Beverly Hills West (CA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated (BHW) hosted its sold-out second annual Green & White Reception under the theme “A Party With A Purpose” at the iconic AMG Showroom courtesy of Mercedes-Benz Beverly Hills. This highly anticipated event brought together members, supporters, and community leaders for an elegant evening of purpose and celebration.

The Green & White Reception continues to be a signature event, reflecting BHW’s commitment to transforming communities and empowering lives, particularly among African Americans and individuals of African ancestry. Highlights of the evening included moving remarks from a past participant of the Chapter’s GEMS (Girls Empowered Motivated & Strong) Program and her father, who shared how the initiative transformed their lives. A past four-year scholarship recipient also inspired attendees with his story of academic achievement, made possible through BHW’s support.

In celebration of National Friendship Month and National Founders Day, BHW proudly announced the awarding of over $150,000 in four-year college scholarships to deserving students, underscoring its dedication to educational excellence and the empowerment of future leaders.

Led by Chapter President Zna Portlock Houston and championed by Tri-Chairs Adell Walker, La-Doris McClaney, and Victoria Beeks, the evening featured hors d’oeuvres and appetizers by Chef Char from Food Décor and expertly curated libations from BlackStorm. Guests were immersed in an atmosphere of celebration as DJ Printz energized the room, inspiring attendees to dance and network amid the stunning backdrop of the AMG Showroom.

Funds raised during the sold-out reception will directly support BHW’s community programming across five focus areas: The Arts, International Trends & Services, Health & Human Services, National Trends & Services, and Services to Youth. These funds will also provide critical college scholarships, continuing BHW’s legacy of advancing educational opportunities for deserving students. This second annual reception was more than a gathering—it was a celebration of friendship, a renewal of purpose, and a testament to the enduring power of sisterhood and collective action to create meaningful change.
