‘Start of the Queendom’ Marks ‘Trayizon’s’ Bold Comeback

On May 2, Valleygurl Productions, in collaboration with AltaGrace Mardi Productions, Blac Mail Productions, and APLA Health Center, hosted the premiere screening of “Start of the Queendom,” the second installment in the Haitian-American crime saga Trayizon. Held at the Gleicher/Chen Health Center in Baldwin Hills, the evening marked a cultural reclamation. Unfiltered and unflinching, the event was more than a screening. It was a declaration that Haitian and Latino stories, told through lived experience, deserve their rightful place in Hollywood’s crime genre.
