Stan Johnson, a beloved figure in the Dorsey High School track and field community and the father of current Dorsey Head Football Coach Stafon Johnson, passed away on Dec. 25, 2023, after a brief illness. He was 63 years old.

USC will honor the achievements of 11-time Olympic medalist Allyson Felix by naming their track field after her. The L.A. native graduated from USC in 2008 with a degree in education and went on to become the most decorated American Track and Field athlete in history.

During his first year playing varsity, Los Angeles high school junior Shawn Pringle took on the onus of being the quarterback for the Romans. In the 10 games they played, Pringle made 60 passes for 1494 yards and 19 touchdowns.
