The power of the Black storyteller continues to grow. Our stories, so long forgotten and dismissed, refuse to go away. To that end, it’s a celebration of the will that the Toronto Black Film Festival (TBFF) still lives and is entering its 9th year, presented by TD Bank in collaboration with Global News.

In 2017, Nigerian born trendsetter and entrepreneur Akin Asalu, opened a luxury men’s clothing store by the name of GetMeFlyLA. The store which was originally founded in Toronto, Canada by fashion designer Kai, sells menswear that is sure to turn heads on the streets and in the club without breaking the bank. Currently the store’s apparel includes jeans, t-shirts, blazers, jackets, loafers, and everything else needed to complete a classic streetwear look. All clothing and accessories range between $100-800.
