Trinity Baptist hosts ‘Gala Affair’ at L.A. Mission
In an effort to bless others as God blessed them, Pastor Alvin Tunstill, Jr., and the members of Trinity Baptist Church united with the Los Angeles Mission to offer a range of services to people residing on the city’s skid row. The day-long ‘Gala Affair,’ held on May 30, provided free haircuts, manicures, and foot-washing along with food, prizes and eighty $25 gift cards to more than 500 men, women and children. Also, Brian Ferguson, director of Trinity’s Homeless Ministry, performed as ‘Christian the Clown’ and the ‘Giant Man on Stilts.’ Explaining the reason behind the event, Pastor Tunstill said,
