Congresswoman Maxine Waters (CA-43), Ranking Member of the House Financial Services Committee, released the following statement on Donald Trump’s campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, who was found guilty by a federal jury on 8 counts of bank and tax fraud, and Trump’s personal attorney, Michael Cohen, who pleaded guilty to 8 violations of banking, tax and campaign finance laws:

Fylnn Pleads Guilty to Lying to FBI

Michael Flynn, the retired general who campaigned at Donald Trump’s side and then served as his first national security adviser, pleaded guilty Friday December 1 to lying to the FBI about reaching out to the Russians on Trump’s behalf and said members of the president’s inner circle were intimately involved with — and at times directing — his contacts.
