The Rev. Dr. Frank Madison Reid III stopped in Los Angeles on June 12 to campaign for bishop in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. AMEs from all over the world will meet in Philadelphia, PA in July for the 50th Session of the General Conference. Holman UMC hosts HBCU Summit

Holman United Methodist Church will hold its annual Historically Black College and University (HBCU) Summit to acquaint prospective high school and community college students with HBCU schools. The session will be held on Thursday, November 12, at 6 p.m., in Holman’s L.L. White Hall, 3320 West Adams Boulevard in Los Angeles.  The Rev. Kelvin Sauls is the host pastor. Representatives from Bennett College, Dillard University, Fisk University, Lincoln (MO) University, Philander Smith College, Stillman College, Talladega College, Tuskegee University and Wiley College will share information about their school and on the admissions process including the guaranteed admission agreements with all California Community Colleges.
