The Pasadena Tournament of Roses® hosted more than 250 Southern California youth for #ThisGen2022, a youth empowerment forum presented by East West Bank.
A federal judge today dismissed the Pasadena Tournament of Roses’® lawsuit against the City of Pasadena, noting that the city’s acknowledgment that the Tournament owns the Rose Bowl Game® trademark rendered much of the lawsuit moot.
With reluctance and tremendous disappointment, the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association announces that, in accordance with Governor Newsom’s Phase IV re-opening schedule, and after thoughtful consideration of the restrictions and guidelines in place as a result of COVID-19, we are unable to host the 2021 Rose Parade.
Michael is a senior at Maranatha High school; she has discovered a deep love for being involved. Every time Michael joins a team or participates, she seems to have a way with her words that energetically promote action from her peers. She distinguished her power in speaking when she joined her highschool speech and debate team.Wilkins excelled and made it to the varsity speech level.
The Pasadena Tournament of Roses® has selected 20 of the marching bands that will participate in the 131st Rose Parade presented by Honda, themed “The Power of Hope.” The bands will travel to Pasadena from across the United States, from Puerto Rico to Hawaii, and around the world, including Costa Rica, Denmark, El Salvador, Japan, and Mexico.

This past week, on the California State Assembly Floor, Assemblymember Chris Holden recognized Gerald Freeny for his confirmation as the first African American president of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Board of Directors. Freeny will provide leadership for the 130th Rose Parade on Tuesday, January 1, 2019.
The Pasadena Tournament of Roses chose Erika Karen Winter, a 17-year old senior at Flintridge Preparatory School as its 98th Rose Queen for the 127th Rose Parade on Thursday, October 22 at the Pasadena Convention Center.
