Women’s History Spotlight: God’s Direction Guides Frost as NAUW Sectional Director

Clara Frost serves as the southwest sectional director of the National Association of University Women. In this capacity, she oversees 10 branches in Southern California in fulfilling the mission of NAUW to serve women, youth and the disadvantaged in our communities and in developing countries. NAUW was founded in 1910 by Mary Church Terrell, Sara Winifred Brown, Nancy Fairfax Brown and Mary E. Cromwell. According to the NAUW website, the women “stepped out on faith to start an organization to stimulate women to attain professional excellence, exert influence in movements for civic good and promote a personal and intellectual fellowship

CPRF/Sisterhood Connection Founder Appointed NAUW Chaplain

Letisa Y. Vereen, national president of the National Association of University Women (NAUW), has appointed Dr. Kathye D. Jenkins as the organization’s new national chaplain. Jenkins is the founder of the Cynthia Perry Ray Foundation and the Gardena Valley and Vicinity Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows Sisterhood Connection. Also, she is a member of the NAUW Santa Monica Branch under the leadership of president Yvonne Meredith. For the past few years, NAUW-SM has collaborated with the CPRF’s Witness2Fitness Health and Wellness Awareness. Spotlight on Youth Auditions

National Association of University Women South Bay Branch invites you to bring your talented youth to Spotlight on Youth Auditions in four categories: vocal, oratory speech, instrumental and dance. Auditions will be held on Thursdays on February 8, February 22, 2018, from 5- 6:45PM at Grace United Methodist Church Study Room, 4112 West Slauson Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90043 corner of Verdun Ave and Slauson enter from parking lot.
