For Every Problem There is a Solution

Once we are born, there are two things we all are going to experience no matter how hard we try to avoid them, no matter how much money or fame we have.  One of those things is death. The Bible is very clear that all of us will experience a single permanent death, no one gets out alive. The second thing is problems.

Senate Democrats Pass $3.5 Trillion Budget Plan – ‘The Most Significant Piece of Legislation in Decades’

Shortly after the U.S. Senate passed President Joe Biden’s most ambitious pieces of legislation, a $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure package, Democrats acted again by pushing through an equally enterprising $3.5 trillion budget proposal. The bill would make childcare more accessible, create universal pre-K, expand paid family and medical leave, and make community college free for the first two years.

100 Days of Biden-Harris

I see the $6 trillion price tag on the Biden legislation as more of an investment than simple spending. A better-educated workforce earns more money, pays more taxes. Making Sense of the 2020 Census

According to the Census Bureau post-enumeration survey, 800,000 African Americans went uncounted. What does this mean? It means once again, the voice of African Americans was denied. Many programs that impact African Americans are based in whole or part on data derived from the Census. History proves the disenfranchisement of Black people socially, politically and financially. Another ten years cannot pass before we realize how vital the United States Census is to the United States democracy.

Pyer Moss Celebrates Black Culture with Fashion and Music

There was a huge choir that veered from stirring, soaring gospel, then spit verses from Cardi B and sang lines from Queen Latifah’s “U.N.I.T.Y.”; a spoken word artist who reminded the audience that rock ‘n’ roll was invited by a Black, queer woman; and a stunning collection of clothes that ran the gamut from casual chic to red-carpet gowns, all modeled by Black or Brown faces.
