With suicide rates on the rise among Black youth, the Congressional Black Caucus recently convened a long-overdue Task Force on Black Youth Suicide. It was sparked by the tragic loss of Mckenzie Adams, a nine-year old who died by suicide last year.
The program seeks to provide permanent supportive housing to individuals who are homeless, have a mental health and/or substance use disorder, and who are incarcerated in the Los Angeles County Jail.
