‘The Message’ Gospel Musical Play Debuts

NAACP award-winning playwright Kosmond Russell will present a scripted showcase presentation of his new play, “The Message.” The free event will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, at 4 p.m., at the Barbara Morrison Performing Arts Center, 4300 Degnan Blvd., in Los Angeles. James Pickens, Jr., of “Grey’s Anatomy” will serve as host. ‘The Marriage’ Looks at God, Love and Mental Illness

Faith and mental illness are rarely linked together, but “The Marriage,” reveals a connection between the two. The stage play, which is based on a true story, shows the devastating effects of the disease on a young couple.
