The Proud Bird Restaurant attracted a big crowd on Saturday, June 24, as people throughout the Southland gathered for the 45th Annual Scholarship Awards and Fundraiser Luncheon sponsored by the 10th Council District Women’s Steering Committee.
The 10th Council District Women’s Steering Committee (10th CDWSC) will recognize five college-bound students at the 45th Annual Scholarship Awards and Fundraiser Luncheon, on Saturday, June 24.
Supervisor Holly Mitchell, Charles Dickerson, Capri Maddox Esq., and five students will be saluted at the 45th Annual Scholarship Awards and Fundraiser Luncheon sponsored by the 10th Council District Women’s Steering Committee (10th CDWSC).
The Yvette Chappell-Ingram Leadership Legacy Fund was officially launched by the African American Board Leadership Institute (AABLI) at its recent tribute to the fund’s namesake, who is retiring after ten years as AABLI’s president and CEO.
Undaunted by the current pandemic, the 39th Annual Charity and Scholarship Benefit presented by the Association of Black Women Physicians (ABWP) maintained its anticipated aura of class and sophistication. The event paid tribute to the work of pioneering and modern-day black female physicians while conveying the all-important values of professionalism and community service.
