LA County Library Reopening Designated Libraries for Select In-Person Service

LA County Library is pleased to announce it will reopen 30 of its 85 libraries for select in-person service beginning April 19. With Los Angeles County entering the orange tier of the State’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy, libraries have been cleared to safely reopen at 50% capacity, while also maintaining 6-feet of physical distance for customers.

Some LA County Library Lobbies to Open for Customer Hold Pickups

Though all of the LA County Library’s 86 locations remain closed to the public due to the coronavirus, customers starting today can pick up holds at designated locations during select hours. In an effort to continue to provide service to the community during the closure period, LA County Library will make nearly half its lobbies available for hold pickup during the hours of 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, effective until further notice. “This is a challenging time for the entire Los Angeles County community, and we are dedicated to keeping our residents and staff as safe as possible,

Fifteen LA County Libraries Will Serve Free Lunch

Los Angeles County Library has expanded its Lunch at the Library program to 15 libraries this summer. Kicking off on June 12, 15 County Libraries will provide a free lunch to youth through 18 years of age from 12noon to 1 pm, with no restrictions on family income, through August 4.
