The Los Angeles Clippers have received final approval from Inglewood’s city government to begin construction on their new arena next summer.
The Madison Square Garden Company, owner of The Forum in Inglewood, filed a lawsuit March 5, against the city and its mayor James Butts for “violating the city’s contractual commitments in order to clear the way for a new Clippers arena in Inglewood, just down the street from The Forum” and, “defrauding The Forum” respectively.
The Inglewood Forum has been the home to the City of Inglewood’s most prominent and historical events, acting as a multi-purpose venue by bringing members of the community together through concerts, church services, sporting events and much more.
