Black Councilmembers Show Up Strong for Hutt

Councilmembers Curren Price and Marqueece Harris-Dawson, the only African Americans on the L.A. City Council, supported the motion of Council President Nury Martinez to appoint Heather Hutt as the interim Councilmember representing the 10th District.

Isaac Bryan takes Big Lead in 54th AD Race

If Bryan has less than a majority when the results are certified, he will face Hutt in a runoff July 20. The special election was necessitated by Sydney Kamlager’s election to the state Senate in a special election March 2, filling the vacancy caused by Holly J. Mitchell’s election to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
