Man Shot to Death in Front of South Los Angeles House

A man was shot to death Sunday night as he stood in front of a house in the Green Meadows area of South Los Angeles. The shooting was reported about 8:35 p.m. at 823 E. 116th St., according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center. The 39-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.  A suspect of unknown description approached the man and fired shots at him before fleeing the scene, the officer said.
