The Lifedriven Foundation, in partnership with Councilwoman Heather Hutt (CD 10), the Heshmatpour Family, and numerous community partners, hosted the 4th Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive on Nov. 25.
One hundred volunteers from Southern California Gas Co. (SoCalGas) and Labor Community Services (LCS) teamed up at the LCS Warehouse in Bell, CA on June 7 to sort through more than 1.8 million pounds of food donations collected through the 32nd Annual National Association of Letter Carriers’ (NALC) Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.
Free groceries, facemasks and hot meals were distributed to more than 500 individuals and families during a food drive held on April 3, in Compton.
Farm Box Grab and Go Food Program distributed more than 3,000 boxes to residents in Compton. This was an eight-week partnership between First Five L.A., Best Start, Community Health Councils (CHC), and SEE-LA (Sustainable Economic Enterprise.)
