The National Collegiate Athletic Association’s (NCAA) highest governing body announced last week that it is moving toward allowing student-athletes to receive compensation for endorsements and promotions.
Senator Steven Bradford (D-Gardena) released the following statements regarding the NCAA Board of Governors’ announcement today on, “supporting rule changes to allow student-athletes to receive compensation for third-party endorsements both related to and separate from athletics.”
This week, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Board of Governors voted in favor of permitting student athletes to benefit and receive financial compensation from the use of their name, image, and likeness.
