The 2020 World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers are celebrating our country’s veterans with a week of activations, including the front office sending Letters of Gratitude and care packages to veterans and active military personnel, participating in a veteran-led Town Hall and renovating the outdoor space at a Veterans Center downtown.
After a 32 year drought, the Los Angeles Dodgers are the 2020 World Series Champions after defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 3-1, closing the series out four-games-to-two on Tuesday night at Globe Life Field.
The Los Angeles Dodgers played an all-around game, defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 6-2 with a consistent offensive and defensive effort. The victory gives the Dodgers a 2-1 lead in the 2020 World Series.
After game one’s offensive surge, it looked like the locked and loaded Dodger bats were lightyears ahead of Tampa Bay’s hitters.
One swing. The difference between going home, and advancing to the team’s third World Series appearance in four years was one swing. 2019 National League MVP Cody Bellinger stood at the plate.
Most home runs, best regular-season record, and eight straight National League West division titles were all irrelevant with the Dodgers facing elimination Friday night. But the boys in blue came through with a 7-3 victory in Game 5 keeping hope and the series alive.
The Atlanta Braves overwhelmed the Los Angeles Dodgers with their batting abilities, capitalizing on the Dodgers mistakes to win a 10-2 victory. The Braves are now up 3-1 against the Dodgers in the NLCS.
Despite the loss, the Dodgers made a remarkable return after being down 7-0 to lose game two 8-7. For the Dodger fans, it was a sign of hope that they will have the momentum for game three. According to the players, they are just warming up.
Atlanta Braves beat the Dodgers 5-1 in a challenging pitched game by Braves Max Fried, who had nine strikeouts in game one.
The Dodgers swept the Brewers and advanced to the next round. Again their pitching was ecstatic and it started with Clayton Kershaw having an historic night.
The Dodgers closed out the Brewers 4-2, and their pitching was terrific. Walker Buehler started for them Wednesday and had eight strikeouts in four innings.
After the Dodgers clinched the NL West championship, they lost to the number one seeded Oakland Athletics 6-4.
Julio Urias led the Dodgers with three strikeouts, five together as a team, which helped them play well defensively together.
