Dr. Eunice “Liz” Nash Passes Away

Dr. Eunice Elizabeth Nash, known affectionately to many as “Liz,” passed away on April 22. Her celebration of life service was held on May 6, at Forest Lawn in Cathedral City, California. A native of Clanton, Alabama, Liz relocated to California in 1960. In 1961, she united in holy matrimony to Elvis Nash, Sr. To this union, a son, Elvis Nash, Jr., was born. Liz earned a Bachelor and Master’s degree from the University of California Long Beach and a Doctor of Education from University of LaVerne where she was an adjunct professor of Educational Management. FAME unites with CASA to help abused and neglected children

The Biddy Mason Foundation of First AME Church of Los Angeles has teamed up with the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) to improve the lives of thousands of abused and neglected children in Los Angeles County foster care. The relationship, initiated by FAME member Samuel Herod, allows CASA to hold informational meetings on the well-known and centrally located campus. FAME’s location as well as its long history of social involvement, attracts many people in South Angeles to attend and learn more about CASA.
