County Public Housing Youth Get Ready For The New School Year

More Than 1,200 Educational Resources and School Supplies Distributed at Annual Back to School Jams Throughout the month of August, the Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA) hosted its annual series of Back to School Jams at the Carmelitos, Harbor Hills, Nueva Maravilla, South County (Scattered Sites), and Sundance Vista public housing developments. For 19 consecutive years, these events have put public housing youth and their families in good spirits for the new school year. New non-denominational ministry aims to equip God’s people to live in fullness of Christ Promising a “spiritual life-changing experience,” the founders of Davar Christian Center are making plans to introduce a new ministry in Southern California.
