COMPTON MAYOR AJA BROWN SPEAKS ABOUT NOT RUNNING FOR RE-ELECTION

The Los Angeles Sentinel has confirmed that Mayor Aja Brown did not file papers to run for reelection. With no incumbent running the filing date is extended for 5 more days.
“I look forward to providing a smooth and comprehensive transition, including welcoming the next mayor this summer, and sharing the infrastructure we built to aid in their success,” Brown wrote in a statement to the press regarding her decision.

Judge Again Upholds $107 Million Judgment Against Record Producer

 A Los Angeles judge once again today upheld a $107 million judgment against imprisoned former rap mogul Marion “Suge” Knight and Death Row Records, which was awarded back in 2005. 
   Over the objection of Lydia Harris, the woman who obtained the original judgment and later agreed with Knight that it should be voided, Superior Court Judge David Sotelo said he would not reconsider his December decision to reinstate the judgment or his March decision to affirm that ruling.
