Plug In Ventures Secures $1 Million Grant to Drive Diversity and Innovation

Plug In Ventures, a growing tech community in South Los Angeles, has received a grant of $1 million from the California Office of Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA), through the Accelerate California program, to help further their mission of supporting diverse, early-stage startups in underserved neighborhoods.
Lendistry Tapped to Administer State Grants Program for Entrepreneurs

The Dream Fund is now accepting applications from small businesses and the California Office of the Small Business Advocate has partnered with Lendistry, a Los Angeles-based, minority-led small business and commercial real estate lender to administer the $35 million grant portion of its program. The fund provides $10,000 to each small business that qualifies.

The State of California announced that it has selected a Black-led-and-operated financial firm in Los Angeles to act as the intermediary charged with disbursing $500 million in COVID-19 grants to California small businesses and non-profits.
