Driving Around in American Classics with Elaine Francisco

Fiona was parked outside when a pedestrian looked at her shiny turquoise body and had a moment of familiarity. They pointed and said “Snowfall!” Elaine Francisco, who was stationed near Fiona smiled at them and started conversing with them with comfort. She thought they were old colleagues; production members that worked alongside Fiona, on the American crime television series on FX—Snowfall. Turns out they were just a fan of the show and recognized Fiona working among the stars.

African Americans Saved Cadillac

At the turn of the 20th century, the automobile entered the American scene.  During that period there was a proliferation of car manufacturers.  In 1903 alone, 57 companies came into existence and 27 went bankrupt.  Over the years, numerous models were introduced that are now a distant memory. Studebaker and Hudson come to mind.  But the Cadillac, introduced in 1903 is still going strong.  However, at one point it was also on the chopping block, but was saved at the last moment.

Exceptional Director, B. Monet, Rides into History with Cadillac

“Because it’s not to say that women can’t direct car commercials, or direct stop signs, or explosions, or all that, unfortunately, we didn’t get a seat at the table when it came to those things,” B. Monet said. “And we’re always in, like, the melodrama. And like, the super sappy things and stories. For me, I want to be able to do what the boys do. I want to do the car shows.”
