Several churches and organizations in the Los Angeles area will hold Good Friday and Easter Sunday worship services to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The following list highlights the activities of some of the sponsoring ministries who invite the public to attend. People’s Independent Church of Christ Bishop Craig A. Worsham and his congregation will host Good Friday worship on April 14, at 12 p.m. The Rev. Dr. E.V. Hill II will preach. Also, services are set for 6:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., on Resurrection Sunday. A fellowship breakfast will be held at 8 a.m.
Lewis Metropolitan CME Church will celebrate its 69th anniversary “Treasuring the Past, Celebrating the Present, Building the Future” on January 24, at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. services in the edifice located at 4900 S. Western Blvd., in Los Angeles. The morning service will host Bishop Bobby R. Best, presiding prelate of the Ninth Episcopal District of the CME Church, as the featured speaker, while the Rev.
