Music mogul, producer and entrepreneur Sean "Diddy" Combs will take the reputation and success of his men's clothing and fragrance line to start the same for women. In September 7th of this year, he will launch the female version of his Sean John clothing line along with the Unforgivable fragrance for Women. Cassie, a singer on his Bad Boy Record label, will be the face of the women's line.
"Diddy" has achieved what no other African American has in the fashion and fragrance world He has become the most acknowledged Hip Hop clothing designer around the world. Sean Jean clothing boutique was the first African American business to open on New York City's Fifth Avenue.
Just this year, he also won the FiFi fragrance award (that is considered the Oscar of the fragrance world) for his Unforgivable men's fragrance. He beat out such greats as Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein. Combs and Michael Jordan are the only two African American men in history to win this award.
It is no wonder that Unforgivable won the FiFi award as fragrance sales revealed that it is the #1 fragrance for the year. Unforgivable beat out all other fragrances in both the men and women's category. It was the first men's fragrance to top all women's perfume sales.
