Paula Patton heads to the big screen with sci-fi film ‘Warcraft Paula Patton stars in sci-fi film, ‘Warcraft,’ an epic adventure of world-colliding conflict based on video game company, Blizzard Entertainment’s global phenomenon. Patton plays Garona Halforcen, a secretive half-orc and half-human warrior caught in the middle of the conflict between the invading orcs and warriors of Azeroth. The film follows, the peaceful realm of Azeroth who stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home. On her 6-year-old son Julian loving her character, “He really liked it. I’m ‘Orc Mommy’ or ‘Mommy Orc,” Patton told eonline.com. “He wanted the ears. Every couple of days we had to change them out, we’d tape them to his ears. He thought that was quite cool.” Starring alongside Patton is Travis Fimmel, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbell, Ben Schnetzer, Rob Kazinsky and Daniel Wu. The film is directed by Duncan Jones and written by Charles Leavitt. ‘Warcraft’ will be released by Universal Pictures and is due out in theaters on June 10. Denzel Washington Stars in ‘The Magnificent Seven’ Remake Denzel Washington will star in the remake of the classic 1960 western ‘The Magnificent Seven.’ The original “Magnificent Seven” was an Old West-style adaptation of a 1954 Japanese film by Akira Kurosawa titled “Seven Samurai,” followed by three sequels “Return of the Seven” (1966), “Guns of the Magnificent Seven (1969) and “The Magnificent Seven Ride” (1972). Washington reunites with his Training Day co-star Ethan Hawke in addition to co-starring with Chris Pratt, Vincent D’Onofrio, Lee Byung-hun, Manuel Garcia Rulfo, Martin Sensmeier , Matt Bomer, Peter Sarsgaard and Haley Bennett. The remake will be directed by Antoine Fuqua and is set to open in theatres September 23. Tracy’s mother is the indomitable Edna Turnblad, and she eventually encourages Tracy on her campaign to integrate the all-white “Corny Collins Show.” ‘Hairspray Live!’ will air Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 8 pm and will originate from Los Angeles. Original Starz series ‘POWER’ and ‘SURVIVOR’S REMORSE’ returns sunday nights this July The hit drama ‘Power’ and the critically-acclaimed ‘Survivor’s Remorse’ returns to Starz this summer for Season 3. ‘Power’ premieres July 17th at 9pm beginning with a premiere episode, “Call Me James.” The drama will include a ten hour-long episodes. Season Three finds James St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) as the owner of new nightclubs, out of the drug game, and in a rekindled relationship with his first love, Angela (Lela Loren), the Assistant United States Attorney sworn to bring him to justice.
