Next Dimension Bible University’s 2019 Commencement and Awards Ceremony, held Aug. 17, at West Angeles Cathedral, was a grand affair, sending a message of hope to the graduating class.
Dr. Joel McLeod presented diplomas to more than 200 graduates, who received Bachelors, Masters and Doctorates degrees.
Bishop Kenneth C. Ulmer, pastor of Faithful Central Bible Church in Inglewood, delivered an emotional commencement address, encouraging the graduates to “do good works as stewards unto to God, as His work must be fulfilled.”
Apostle Frederick K.C. Price, founder of Crenshaw Christian Center, received the Living Legend Award, and Honorary Doctorate diplomas were given to an impressive group of candidates including gospel artists Kurt Carr and Maurette Brown Clark, musician Paul Jackson, Jr., actors Bill Duke, Marla Gibbs and Dawnn Lewis, Gospel Centric Records founder Vickie Mack Latillade, community organizer “Sweet” Alice Harris, record manager/political activist Dina Andrews, and publicist Edna Sims of ESP Public Relations.
After the commencement, graduates celebrated at the Black, White and Blue Gala held at the LAX Hilton. The Rev. Fred Price, Jr., pastor of Crenshaw Christian Center attended and Dr. Rose Parker was the emcee. Graduates received God Awards from McLeod, Dr. Evelyn Saucer and Dr. Evelyn Reason.
