Michael Bernard Beckwith, the world renowned spiritual teacher and award-winning author brings his positive message of prospering in these challenging times with “The Answer is YOU,” an inspiring and cutting edge PBS special that is taping Thursday, August 20th at Los Angeles’ Club Nokia, to be broadcast on stations nationwide beginning in December 2009. .
Beckwith, the founder and spiritual director of the Agape International Spiritual Center, a trans-denominational spiritual community known for its rich cultural diversity, local and global humanitarian programs, and promotion of the arts, is no stranger to drawing a large audience, similar to Club Nokia’s 2,300 capacity. During any given week approximately 6,000 individuals pass through Agape’s doors to hear the words of this internationally recognized dynamic speaker, visionary, innovator and teacher on Wednesdays and Sundays.
The author of the award-winning book, Spiritual Liberation, and featured luminary in the best-selling book and film, The Secret, who has appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” and “Larry King Live,” brings his life-enhancing practices to PBS with “The Answer is YOU.”
Viewers of “The Answer is YOU,” will discover the direct impact of their thoughts upon life, learn to express the talents, gifts and skills they have come to deliver on the planet, realize radical well-being from the inside out, and acquire mental strategies for prospering during times of recession and depression. In this 80-minute public television special, Michael Beckwith will share steps for developing life strategies that will assist individuals in connecting with the source of power, creativity and infinite possibilities.
Beckwith, who has also co-facilitated international events with leaders of the world’s spiritual traditions, maintains that “caught in the crunch of a challenging economic title wave, you can discover that you are equipped with the inner resourcefulness to navigate these perilous waters and move from feeling like a victim to becoming a victor!”
Along with Beckwith’s message, The Answer Is YOU will also feature the music of the world famous Agape International Choir under the direction of singer songwriter Rickie Byars Beckwith. Byars Beckwith has recorded seven original albums and performed with the 150-voice Agape Choir with Grammy-Award winning recording artists John Legend and will.i.am at the Democratic National Convention, at President Barack Obama’s People’s Inaugural Ball, at Lincoln Center, the United Nations, the Jefferson Memorial and to sold-out audiences at Royce Hall, the John Anson Ford Amphitheater, and the Getty Center.
Based in Los Angeles, Dr. Beckwith has inspired countless artists and performers, some of whom are confirmed to appear at this PBS presentation. Emmy and Grammy award-winning singer will.i.am will perform his historic “It’s a New Day” with the soulful Agape Choir and Grammy award-winning writer of “Man in the Mirror,” Siedah Garrett, will reprise her emotionally charged performance of the hit song with the Choir.
Agape Media International has brought together Oscar and Grammy award-winning producers and production designers to create this highly anticipated program. AMI’s managing director, Grammy-winning music producer Stephen Powers, is one of six executive producers, including: Michael Bernard Beckwith (founder and CEO of AMI), Gustavo Sagastume (former VP of Programming for PBS), Mark R. Harris (multiple Oscar-winning film producer), Carole Myers (TV series and specials producer), and Lili Fournier (producer/director of award-winning PBS specials). Mikki Willis, founder of Elevate Films, directs the taping.
