The Rev. Dr. Henry L. Masters, Sr., will be the guest preacher at the 2nd Annual Holy Week Revival beginning Sunday, April 9 through Tuesday, April 11, at 7 p.m., at Saint Mark United Methodist Church, 8305 S. Gramercy Pl., in Los Angeles.
According to Pastor Gary Bernard Williams, the theme is “The Devil Is a Liar,” and the revival is part of several activities planned for the week.
The Annual Seder Meal Celebration takes place on Thursday, April 13 and the Children’s Ministry will sponsor an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 15. On Sunday, April 16, Sunrise Service is set for 6 a.m., and breakfast will be hosted by St. Mark’s United Methodist Men at 7 a.m. The children’s Easter program will precede the regular worship service at 10 a.m.
“This Holy Week Revival we are calling the Devil’s bluff,” said Williams. “We invite the community to attend all of our Holy Week activities and especially every night of our revival to hear the powerful preaching of Dr. Masters, who previously served 11 years as pastor of Holman UMC in Los Angeles.”
