Man Killed in Compton Shooting ID’d

The coroner’s office today released the name of a man found shot to death in Compton.

Aljaunnie Wilder-Jackson, 21, was a Compton resident, the coroner’s
office said.

Deputies were sent to Gateway Drive and Greenleaf Boulevard regarding
an assault with a deadly weapon at about 3 a.m. Saturday, and found Wilder-
Jackson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body, according to
the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. He was pronounced dead at the


Deputies canvassed the area for possible witnesses and surveillance video, officials said.

Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to contact the sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500. Anonymous tips can be called in to
