Legendary Singer Prince Dead at 57

12:35 PM PT — The Minneapolis Sheriff’s department  says Prince was found in an elevator at Paisley Park. They performed CPR, but were unable to revive him. He was pronounced dead on the scene at 10:07 AM.

Legendary artist Prince has died at the age of 57 at his Paisley Park..the Sentinel has learned.  Prince’s body was discovered Thursday morning, where multiple sources connected to the singer confirmed he passed, according to TMZ.

The singer has a medical emergency on April 15th that forced his private jet to make an emergency landing in Illinios. However, he appeared at a concert the following day to assure fans that he was doing well. Several reports say that Prince was battling complications of the flu. Due to his sickness, he had to cancel shows due to his health concerns.


Prince, who wasn’t confined to just one genre of music, sold more than 100 million records during his career and won an Academy Award for Best Original Song Score for Purple Rain in 1985. Alongside his Academy Award, he won 7 GRAMMY Awards.
