Joy Langford has been appointed as director of Division One by the board of directors of the Water Replenishment District of Southern California.
In this capacity, she represents the cities of Hawthorne, Inglewood, Los Angeles (partial) and the several unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County.
Langford has over 15 years of experience as a public-private partnership liaison assisting corporations with environmental practices at the local, state and federal government levels. She also served as the senior environmental, energy and water policy advisor to Assemblywoman Autumn Burke where she crafted environmental policy and advocated for updated water infrastructure.
As for her recent endeavors, Langford implemented LED street lighting projects in several Southern California cities, consulted on light rail and energy efficient trucking solutions and implemented electric vehicle (EV) charging stations units in several California Municipalities.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Langford received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Planning from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
