EL SEGUNDO – The Los Angeles Lakers announced today their roster for the 2016 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, highlighted by 2015 NBA All-Rookie Second Team selection D’Angelo Russell and the 2nd overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft, Brandon Ingram. Joining Russell and Ingram are 2015 Lakers NBA Draft selections Larry Nance Jr. and Anthony Brown, and the team’s 2016 second round pick Ivica Zubac.
The team will hold its first practice next Tuesday, July 5 at the Toyota Sports Center and begin Summer League play in Las Vegas with back-to-back games on Friday, July 8 against the New Orleans Pelicans and Saturday, July 9 versus the Philadelphia 76ers. The Lakers conclude their scheduled games with a contest against new Lakers Head Coach Luke Walton’s former team, the Golden State Warriors, on Monday, July 11 before the Summer League tournament begins. The Lakers are guaranteed to play no fewer than five games.
All Lakers summer league games will be televised on Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes, as well as ESPN and NBATV.
