Southern Saint Paul Church will hold an Anointing Service to extend prayers and blessings to people suffering from physical, mental or emotional pain.
According to Pastor Xavier L. Thompson, the special worship takes place on Sunday, January 27 at 5 p.m., in the Southern Saint Paul sanctuary located at 4678 W. Adams Blvd. in Los Angeles. Apostle Ronald C. Hill, pastor of Love and Unity Christian Fellowship in Compton, will be the guest preacher.
“The ministry of healing, as instructed in James 5, provides healing from brokenness. This brokenness may come from sin, grief, or loneliness; it may come from physical, mental or emotional pain or illness,” said Thompson.
“At the Anointing Service, everyone is invited to come to the altar for the healing touch of a blessing and prayer for you or a loved one.”
Apostle Hill is well known around the country for his dynamic ministry. He founded Love and Unity in 1981 with his wife, Osie, and five members. The church has since grown to more than 3,500 members.
In 2005, he led the congregation in constructing the Born Again Center, a multi-million dollar building project that houses the sanctuary and multiple ministries and community outreach services.
