Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church plans its 16th Annual Men’s Conference starting Friday, May 17, through Saturday, May 18, on its campus located at 5300 S. Denker Ave., in Los Angeles.
According to Pastor DeNon A. Porter, several activities are planned to illustrate the theme, “Brothers United Under Divine Direction” based on Psalm 133:1-3 and Ephesian 4:1-7.
“Our conference will open on Friday evening with registration at 6 p.m., followed by praise, prayer and the spoken word. On Saturday, May 18th at 9 a.m., we will participate in Bible study, workshops and exciting theme speakers who will focus on issues and concerns to men of all ages,” said Porter.
“Discussions will include a commitment to unity, closer relationships, faithfulness, being good stewards of our homes, communities and churches and finally, having a godly prospective.”
Men’s Day will be observed on Sunday, May 19, at the 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. worship services. At 4 p.m., the Men’s Chorus will present their annual musical under the direction of the Rev. Harold M. Pittman. The theme is “Music From Our Hearts to God” based on Psalm 150 and Ephesians 5:18-20.
