Randy W. Hawkins, 62, of Los Angeles, has been reappointed to the California Medical Board, where he has served since 2015. Hawkins has been assistant professor at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science since 2014 and a physician and surgeon in private practice since 1986. He is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary and critical care medicine. Hawkins is a member of the Charles R. Drew Medical Society of Los Angeles, where he was president in 2014, and a member of the Golden State Medical Association of California, American Thoracic Society, California Thoracic Society, Trudeau Society of Los Angeles and the National Medical Association. He earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Hahnemann Medical College. This position requires Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem.
