Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science’s 9th Annual President’s Breakfast takes place on Thursday, Feb. 29, at the Colburn School’s Zipper Hall, located at 200 S. Grand Ave., in Los Angeles, announced Dr. David M. Carlisle, CDU president.

The topic will be “Immigration Reform: A Moral Imperative” and will feature an impressive lineup of panelists and speakers who will explore various aspects of immigration policy, its impacts on society, and the ethical considerations involved.

The keynote address will be delivered by Caitlin Dickerson, Pulitzer and Peabody award-winning journalist from The Atlantic. The panelists are Sonja Diaz, founding director, UCLA Latino Policy & Politics Institute; Efrain Talamantes, MD, senior vice president and COO of Health Services at AltaMed; and Nana Gyamfi, executive director, Black Alliance for Just Immigration. The panel will be moderated by Dr. Carlisle.
