A Gardena man was charged today with fatally stabbing his 61-year-old father as he slept, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.
Deputy District Attorney Linda Kwon said Robin Robert Frost Jr. (dob 8/11/95) faces one count of murder with an allegation that he used a knife in the killing.
Frost Jr. pleaded not guilty today in case YA102350 and is scheduled to return on August 25 in Department 4 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Torrance Branch.
On August 7, the defendant allegedly killed Robin Robert Frost Sr. who was asleep in his bed, the prosecutor said.
Frost Jr. faces a possible maximum sentence of 26 years to life in state prison if convicted as charged. Bail is set at $2 million.
The case remains under investigation by the Gardena Police Department.
