Freedom of Speech on College Campus and Beyond forum

Students and professors at Occidental College, Los Angeles were treated to a civics lesson about The Constitution’s 1st Amendment during a forum entitled “Freedom of Speech on College Campuses and Beyond.” Guests included Erwin Chemerinsky is the founding Dean and Distinguished Professor of Law, and Raymond Pryke Professor of First Amendment Law, at UC Irvine, Amy Pyle Editor-In-Chief for The Center for Investigative Reporting & Salam al-Marayati of the Muslim Public Affairs Council. A plethora of information was exchanged. Much centered around free speech on local and state campuses, lack of tolerance for Muslim protesters as well as journalists objectivity.
