The Empowerment Congress West Area Neighborhood Development Council will host The Collective: Mind, Body, and Soul, which is the group’s 2nd annual wellness event. 

The fair will take place on Saturday May 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the upstairs parking area of the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Mall., located at 3650 West Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., in Los Angeles.   

Some of the activities at the fair include a yoga demonstration and yoga towel gift, sound bowl meditation, Community Build food giveaway and free wellness teas.  Also, L.A. County staff will offer free COVID and Flu vaccines and Kaiser Permanente will operate a healthy clinic. 

According to the organizers, “Every participant will receive a grab bag with snacks and much more. The West Area Empowerment Congress is glad to once again to provide wellness options to the community.”    

The spokesperson added that cannabis education will be offered by Gorilla Rx, a kids zone will be available for youngsters, deejay will provide music and attendees can enjoy games and prizes.
