LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers placed outfielder Yasiel Puig on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring and reinstated infielder/outfielder Scott Van Slyke from the DL.

Van Slyke went 1-for-9 with a double in four games this season before going on the DL on April 10 with low back irritation. The 29-year-old played in eight games with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and Triple-A Oklahoma City during his rehab assignment and went 7-for-31 (.226) with a double, a homer and five RBI.

Puig is hitting .237 with five home runs and 20 RBI in 53 games this season.
