The Los Angeles Department of City Planning announced that it has improved its online application system to minimize the need for people to visit its Development Services Centers in person during the COVID-19 pandemic. The online system’s recent additions include a portal for accessory dwelling unit permit clearances, wireless telecommunication facilities, and other planning applications.
“Expanding our online capabilities is one of the ways city planning has streamlined essential services and safeguarded the health of the city during this pandemic,” department Director Vince Bertoni said. “As city workers, we are sworn to serve our community, and at this moment, encouraging the use of our improved online services is the best way we can support Angelenos’ health and economic interests.”
Officials said the system will also increase transparency in the planning process by enabling people to monitor administrative clearances in real time. The online application system is available at https://plncts.lacity.org/oas.
