On Wednesday, November 23, Compton Mayor Aja Brown hosted the 3rd Annual Compton Community Thanksgiving Dinner at the Douglas F. Dollarhide Community Center. Sponsored by rapper YG’s 4HundredWaze Foundation and Master P, the event fed hundreds of families and seniors in the Compton area. YG’s mother Shonee Jackson and her team of volunteers with the 4HundredWaze Foundation prepared the entire meal and State Senator Isadore Hall as well as Compton native and three-time Olympic medalist Carmelita Jeter were on hand to help make plates.
